As we continue expanding our U.S. footprint, we are hiring multiple Operations professionals for our Houston, TX office. Role Description Logistics Operations Specialist Location: Houston, TX (Downtown) Key Accountabilities Coordinate day-to-day import and export freight forwarding operations (Ocean, Air, Inland) Prepare shipping documentation and ensure U.S. Customs compliance Work with carriers, suppliers and overseas offices & agents Track shipments and ensure accurate system updates Support the development of efficient operational processes Supervise the hiring of future operations staff and keep employees compliant with company policies and procedures Supervise logistics operations including customer service, Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work methods to increase productivity Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, delivery inquiries, and issue resolution. Respond to customer Inquiries via systems, email or phone in a professional and timely manner. Provide accurate information regarding order status and shipping schedules. Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal teams to address customer issues effectively. Ensure shipments are accurately entered into the system and fulfilled according to customer specifications. Generate reports and summaries as needed to track customer service metrics and performance. Qualifications At least 3 years of relevant and recent experience in Freight Forwarding Operations and Customer Service Freight Forwarding experience is mandatory Organizational and time management skills to handle tasks Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required Experience with CARGOWISE is a plus Please send your resume to: recruiting@intercomlogistics.com Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
