Overview Part-Time Dispatcher – TSA Bonded Warehouse / Air Cargo DJM Trucking Corporation is seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Dispatcher to assist with our trucking and warehouse operations. We are looking for someone with previous experience in truck dispatching, transportation, logistics, air cargo, freight forwarding, or warehouse operations . Experience working in a TSA-bonded warehouse or air-cargo environment is strongly preferred . The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, customers, and management. Position Details Job Title: Part-Time Dispatcher Company: DJM Trucking Corporation Job Type: Part-Time Industry: Trucking / Transportation / Air Cargo / Warehousing Location: Lawrence, NY (Nassau County, Long Island) Responsibilities Dispatch drivers for scheduled pickups and deliveries. Coordinate daily driver assignments and routes. Monitor drivers and shipment status throughout the shift. Communicate with drivers regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and changes. Coordinate freight entering and leaving the warehouse. Assist with time-sensitive air-cargo and airport shipments. Communicate with warehouse staff, customers, freight forwarders, and management. Review BOLs, PODs, pickup numbers, reference numbers, and other freight documentation. Ensure drivers have the correct information and paperwork before leaving for assignments. Confirm completed deliveries and obtain required PODs. Maintain accurate dispatch logs and shipment records. Assist with resolving missed pickups, delays, and delivery issues. Follow company and warehouse security procedures. Qualifications Previous dispatching, trucking, transportation, or logistics experience preferred. TSA-bonded warehouse or air-cargo experience is a strong plus . Experience dispatching box trucks or local delivery drivers preferred. Familiarity with BOLs, PODs, and freight documentation. Strong communication and organizational skills. Good computer, email, and data-entry skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Must be dependable, punctual, and professional. Knowledge of JFK Airport, Queens, NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey routes is a plus. Are you familiar with JFK Airport and commercial pickup/delivery routes throughout Queens, NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey? Are you comfortable coordinating multiple drivers, pickups, and deliveries at the same time? Briefly describe your previous dispatching, trucking, warehouse, or logistics experience.
