Duties Operate flatbed tow trucks and wreckers to recover, load, and transport vehicles safely and efficiently. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting, minor mechanical repairs, and automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle condition before towing. Ensure all cargo is secured following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Perform safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, adhering to safety standards for manual transmission vehicles and heavy-duty trucks. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally. Execute vehicle recovery towing operations for accident scenes or breakdowns while managing conflict situations calmly and effectively. Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, inspections, repairs, and incident reports for accountability and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience as a tow truck driver with expertise in flatbed or wrecker operations. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and basic vehicle troubleshooting. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols, safe vehicle loading procedures, and vehicle recovery towing techniques. Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle stressful situations professionally.
