Experienced Tow truck Driver

Overview Looking for an experienced tow truck driver, Monday-Friday 8am-6 pm, with being on call one night out the week, and one weekend out the month. As an Experienced Tow Truck Driver, you’ll respond to vehicle recovery and towing needs with safe, skilled service. You’ll operate a tow truck, including a flatbed, assess vehicles and conditions, and communicate clearly with customers throughout each job. Your impact: Safe, careful towing helps drivers get their vehicles and themselves to a more secure next step. Duties Drive commercial trucks to service locations and transport vehicles using car towing and vehicle recovery towing methods. Load and unload vehicles safely, following vehicle loading procedures and cargo securement protocols. Use automotive diagnostics, basic vehicle troubleshooting, and mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle issues. Perform minor mechanical vehicle repair when appropriate, drawing on automotive repair and vehicle mechanics knowledge. Deliver attentive customer service and use conflict management skills to address concerns professionally. Qualifications Required: Experience driving tow trucks and commercial vehicles, including commercial truck driving; a valid license and any required endorsements for the assigned vehicle. Required: Demonstrated ability to operate a flatbed, safely load vehicles, secure cargo, and perform vehicle recovery towing. Required: Strong driving skills, customer service, and clear communication. Preferred: Mechanic experience, automotive repair or diagnostics, and knowledge of vehicle mechanics. Preferred: Experience with manual transmission vehicles, minor mechanical repairs, basic troubleshooting, and load-and-unload procedures.
