Experienced Heavy-Duty Trailer Technician

Morken Companies | Ham Lake, MN Pay: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. No weekends. Morken Companies is hiring an experienced Heavy-Duty Trailer Technician to join our shop in Ham Lake. If you know your way around commercial trailers, take pride in quality repairs, and want a consistent weekday schedule, we’d like to meet you. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing semi-trailers who can work independently and help keep our customers’ equipment safe and on the road. What You’ll Do Diagnose and repair commercial trailer brakes, air systems, suspension, wheel ends, bearings, and seals. Troubleshoot and repair trailer wiring, lighting, and ABS systems. Repair and replace floors, doors, roofs, side panels, landing gear, and other trailer components. Perform preventive maintenance and inspect trailers for safety concerns. Complete welding and fabrication repairs as qualified. Document work performed and parts used accurately. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safe work practices. What We’re Looking For Previous professional experience repairing heavy-duty commercial trailers. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to complete repairs independently. Working knowledge of trailer air brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and structural components. Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and pride in your work. Ability to communicate clearly and work well with the shop team. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. DOT inspection qualifications are a plus. This is an experienced technician position.
