Experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician
Starzer repairHeavy Diesel Techs: Sick of working for knuckleheads who micromanage everything you do? You know the drill: Owners who've never turned a wrench telling you how to do your job Same boring work, day after day, with no room to learn or grow Your ideas? They don't want to hear them Shop's either freezing in winter or sweltering in summer because "that's just how it is" Here's the truth: You deserve better. Starzer Repair in Crivitz, WI isn't run by some suit who's never had grease under his nails. Owner Keith Starzer? He's a tech. Turned wrenches at JX Peterbilt, worked his way up, and started this business 12 years ago because he was tired of working for shops that sucked. Now he's built something different - a heavy diesel shop (Class 4-8 trucks, trailers, ag and construction equipment) where techs actually want to show up. And we're doubling in size this spring because business keeps rolling in. What makes us different? Training is everything here. Keith sends techs to off-site training, brings in specialists like Kevin from Pro Auto Tech for hands-on oscilloscope sessions, and we take on challenging projects specifically so you learn. But here's what really matters: Keith listens. Techs wanted AC? Installed it. Wanted to change hours from 8-5 to 7-4? Done. You're not just a number here - your voice matters, and you can see it in how we run the place. So if you're an experienced HD diesel tech with at least 4-5 years of real experience who wants to work somewhere that invests in you, keeps growing, and doesn't leave you feeling stuck - let's talk. ✅ HERE'S WHAT WE PROMISE OUR TECHS: $70K–$100K/year (hourly plus efficiency bonus + guarantee, so you're covered either way) Team bonuses when we hit revenue goals Simple IRA with dollar-for-dollar match up to 3% Health coverage through QSERA program (we reimburse you) Colonial Life short-term disability (company paid) Vision and dental options available $10K life insurance policy included 1 week vacation after 90 days (5 days to use however you want) Paid holidays after 1 year Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm NO mandatory weekends ✓ WE WILL KEEP YOU BUSY – We're booked 2-3 weeks out consistently.
