Experienced Furniture Delivery Driver – Non-CDL Box Truck Pay: $23.00 per hour Location: Columbia, SC and surrounding areas Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | Early morning start Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly professional Furniture Delivery Driver to join our growing delivery operation. This position involves operating a 26-foot non-CDL box truck, safely loading and delivering furniture to customers' homes, and providing exceptional customer service. Loading begins approximately 5:00–5:30 AM , so reliable early-morning availability is essential. We're looking for someone who genuinely takes pride in their work, respects customers and their property, and understands the importance of safe, damage-free deliveries. Duties and Responsibilities Report to the designated loading facility by approximately 5:00–5:30 AM. Safely operate a 26-foot non-CDL box truck along assigned delivery routes. Load, secure, transport, unload, and place furniture in customers' homes. Handle furniture carefully to prevent damage to products, walls, floors, doorways, and other property. Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a respectful, professional attitude at all times. Communicate clearly and courteously with customers, dispatchers, and team members. Assist with furniture assembly and placement when required. Follow all applicable DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and delivery requirements. Inspect the vehicle before and after routes and report maintenance or safety concerns. Use mobile devices to follow routes, communicate updates, and document completed deliveries. Maintain a clean, organized truck and professional appearance. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license — CDL not required. Clean driving record with no disqualifying violations; driving history will be verified through an MVR check. Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Previous furniture moving or furniture delivery experience REQUIRED. Experience operating a box truck, preferably 26 feet. Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Must be respectful, courteous, and professional when entering customers' homes. Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy furniture with a team and appropriate equipment. Dependable transportation to the loading facility for early morning shifts. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability. Ability to follow directions, work efficiently, and handle unexpected challenges professionally. Preferred Qualifications Experience with white-glove furniture delivery. Furniture assembly and installation experience. Familiarity with furniture protection, loading techniques, and safe equipment handling. Previous experience working as a lead delivery driver. Compensation and Schedule Hourly Pay: $23.00 Work Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday. Start Time: Approximately 5:00–5:30 AM for truck loading. Daily completion times may vary depending on route length, delivery volume, traffic, and customer needs. Generally between 2:30-4:30PM Start date and weekly hours are dependent on final route availability.
