Experienced Freight Forwarder/Freight Broker

Job Overview As an Experienced Freight Forwarder/Freight Broker, you’ll coordinate domestic and international freight from pricing through delivery. You’ll build client and carrier relationships, develop new business, and keep shipments moving through clear communication and careful attention to logistics, trade requirements, and service details. Your impact: By matching shipments with reliable transportation and resolving issues promptly, you help clients keep their supply chains moving and give carriers clear, dependable coordination. Responsibilities Manage freight forwarding, freight brokerage, and third-party logistics (3PL) shipments, including air freight and other shipping logistics. Plan transportation, dispatch loads, coordinate carriers, and track shipments using transportation management systems and electronic data interchange (EDI). Grow accounts through inside sales, business-to-business (B2B) sales, lead generation, pricing, negotiation, and contract management. Provide customer service and client communication; maintain customer relationship management (CRM) records and complete accurate data entry. Support trade compliance, international trade regulations, and applicable Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements; use Microsoft Office and, where applicable, AS400 systems. Qualifications Experienced in freight forwarding logistics, freight brokerage, transportation sales, carrier sales, logistics sales, or a logistics company; knowledge of supply chain management and transportation management. Skilled in account management, sales management, customer relationship management, client relationship management, and customer service. Familiar with transportation planning, supply chain operations, NVOCC (non-vessel-operating common carrier) services, air freight, and 3PL. Able to negotiate pricing and contracts, manage sales relationships, and coordinate dispatching with accuracy. Experience with CRM software, transportation management systems, Microsoft Office, EDI, or AS400 is valuable; knowledge of trade compliance and FDA regulations is preferred.
