Experienced Freight Dispatcher / Dispatcher Trainer

Job Summary Quick Dispatch LLC is seeking an experienced Freight Dispatcher / Dispatcher Trainer to join our remote logistics team. This dual-role position involves managing day-to-day dispatch operations for carriers and drivers while also providing training and guidance to new dispatch employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of transportation management systems. This role is essential in ensuring efficient road transportation operations and maintaining high levels of customer service. Responsibilities Handle real-time dispatch operations, coordinating with carriers and drivers to ensure timely deliveries. Manage phone communication effectively, addressing driver inquiries, customer requests, and internal team needs. Utilize vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems to plan routes, assign loads, and monitor shipments. Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with clients, drivers, and internal teams. Oversee phone call management to prioritize urgent issues and streamline communication channels. Train new dispatch employees by sharing best practices, operational procedures, and system usage to ensure consistency and efficiency in dispatch activities. Collaborate with team members to optimize transportation workflows and resolve any logistical challenges promptly. Skills Proven experience as a freight dispatcher with a strong understanding of road transportation operations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective internal and external interactions. Proficiency in vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems is essential. Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle phone communication professionally. Ability to train, mentor, and guide new employees while managing daily dispatch responsibilities. Adaptability to remote work environments with reliable access to necessary technology and internet connectivity.
