Experienced Freight Dispatcher/Broker - 2 year minimum experience

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Freight Dispatcher/Broker to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate the transportation of freight, communicate effectively with carriers and clients, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Duties Manage daily dispatch operations, coordinating the movement of freight across various routes. Utilize vehicle dispatch software to assign loads, track shipments, and update statuses in real-time. Communicate regularly with carriers, drivers, and clients via phone calls to confirm schedules, resolve issues, and provide updates. Ensure all transportation activities comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards. Maintain organized records of shipments, driver logs, and communication logs using Microsoft Office tools. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally. Manage phone call flow efficiently to prioritize urgent requests and maintain smooth operations. Collaborate with team members to optimize routes and improve overall dispatch processes. Experience Proven experience in freight dispatching or brokerage is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Experience working with vehicle dispatch software is highly desirable. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to freight transportation is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills for managing phone calls and customer interactions. Prior experience in customer service or logistics roles will be considered an asset.
