Experienced Diesel Technician

Job Description: HDR Services is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to join our shop in King George, VA. We are an independent diesel repair shop working on everything from diesel pickups to medium- and heavy-duty trucks. We're looking for someone with solid hands-on experience who can confidently complete repairs and diagnostics with limited supervision. Pay & Schedule: $25–$40/hour , based on demonstrated experience and ability Paid weekly Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM W-2 position 90-day probationary period with performance/pay review 5 days PTO per year after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period Overtime is uncommon but paid when applicable What You'll Do: Diagnose and repair diesel pickups as well as medium- and heavy-duty trucks based on your experience. Work may include electrical and wiring diagnostics, DEF/DPF/EGR concerns, fuel systems, turbochargers, cooling systems, no-start/hard-start concerns, brakes, suspension and steering, transmissions/driveline, preventive maintenance, and general diesel repair. We don't expect you to know everything. What matters is having solid diesel experience, being able to work independently on the jobs you are experienced with, and knowing when to ask for assistance rather than guess. What We're Looking For: Professional diesel repair experience Hands-on Power Stroke experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Ability to perform repairs with limited supervision Experience with diesel pickups Medium/heavy-duty experience is a plus Basic professional mechanic hand tools Valid driver's license preferred for test drives, but not required Tools & Equipment: Technicians should have their own basic hand tools.
