We are a family-owned truck and trailer repair shop looking for a dependable, skilled mechanic who takes pride in their work and can handle everyday truck and trailer repairs with minimal supervision. Pay & Benefits $35–$40 per hour , based on experience and ability Monday–Friday schedule — No regularly scheduled weekends Health, dental, and vision insurance — company pays 50% of premiums Paid holidays Paid vacation/PTO Overtime opportunities based on workload Full-time, year-round employment Family-owned and operated business Job Responsibilities Diagnose and repair semi-truck and trailer mechanical issues Perform brake repairs, wheel seals, and suspension work Diagnose and repair air leaks and air brake systems Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections Mount, replace, and repair commercial truck and trailer tires Troubleshoot and repair common electrical problems Identify mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Major engine rebuilds are NOT required for this position. Qualifications Previous hands-on experience repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers Ability to troubleshoot common mechanical problems independently Strong knowledge of commercial truck brake, suspension, and air systems Experience with preventive maintenance and DOT inspection requirements Must have your own basic mechanic tools Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision Strong work ethic and attention to detail We value actual hands-on experience and mechanical ability more than a specific number of years in the industry.
