EXPERIENCED CLASS 8 HEAVY-DUTY DIESEL MECHANIC

Desert Eagle Transportation – Las Vegas, NV We are looking for a highly experienced, reliable, and independent Class 8 Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic who knows how to diagnose problems correctly, plan repairs, and complete jobs from start to finish without constant supervision. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who knows what they're doing and can work independently. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair Class 8 semi-trucks, primarily International L, Freightliners and Volvos Use diagnostic software to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, engine, and aftertreatment problems. Perform complete diagnostics, identify the root cause, and avoid unnecessary parts replacement. Plan repairs, determine required parts and tools, and complete work efficiently. Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, electrical systems, ABS, air brakes, suspension, DEF, DPF, and emissions systems. Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. Verify completed repairs, test equipment, and ensure trucks are ready for service. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Requirements Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on Class 8 diesel truck repair experience preferred. Strong knowledge of diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE, International/NAVISTAR diagnostic tools, JPRO, TEXA, Tech Tool or similar programs. Excellent electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read fault codes, wiring diagrams, and technical service information. Able to diagnose, plan, and complete repairs independently. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be dependable, productive, and take ownership of assigned jobs. Must have personal tools. What We're Looking For We want a mechanic who doesn't just replace parts or follow instructions.
