Experienced CDL Class A Regional Flatbed Driver

JOB DESCRIPTION CARSSOL LLC is hiring an experienced CDL Class A driver to operate a manual-transmission Peterbilt with a 53-foot Flatbed Conestoga trailer. If you take pride in safe driving, proper load securement, and caring for your equipment, we’d like to hear from you. Based in Sterling Heights, Michigan, this position primarily serves routes within approximately a 500-mile radius, with occasional longer trips. Freight includes steel, aluminum, machinery, tooling, building materials, and other industrial commodities. What we offer: $32 per hour, plus applicable overtime. Weekly pay. Opportunities for home time during the workweek, depending on routes and delivery schedules. Normal scheduling goal of a weekend restart at home, subject to operational needs. Assigned Peterbilt with a sleeper and a 53-foot Conestoga trailer.Company-provided PPE and work apparel. PTO eligibility after one full year of employment. Schedule expectations: This is a regional position with variable start times and extended workdays within Hours of Service limits. Drivers must be willing to stay overnight in the truck when required. This position does not guarantee daily home time. Key responsibilities: Safely operate a manual-transmission tractor-trailer. Secure and inspect freight using chains, binders, straps, dunnage, and edge protection. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate ELD records and required paperwork. Communicate promptly with dispatch about deliveries, delays, available hours, and equipment concerns. Keep the truck, trailer, and securement equipment clean, organized, and ready for work. Job Qualifications: At least 23 years old with a valid Class A CDL. Minimum 3 years of verifiable Class A commercial driving experience. Previous Flatbed and/or Conestoga experience required. This is not an entry-level flatbed position. Proven ability to safely operate a manual-transmission tractor, with no automatic-only CDL restriction. Strong hands-on cargo-securement skills, including experience with industrial freight. Clean driving record required: no DUI/DWI convictions or history of reckless or unsafe driving. Applicants must meet company and insurance carrier driving-record requirements. Must pass a road test, hands-on cargo-securement evaluation, and required pre-employment screening. Must meet DOT medical qualifications and applicable drug and alcohol requirements. Willingness to work extended schedules and stay overnight as needed while following Hours of Service requirements. Reliable transportation to the equipment location near 14 Mile Road and Mound Road in Sterling Heights. Ability to perform inspections and securement duties outdoors and handle equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Dependable, punctual, safety-focused, and able to communicate professionally in English as required for the position.
