Duties Safely operate your personal cargo van or box truck to complete scheduled deliveries across designated routes Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on time, maintaining adherence to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to confirm routes, delivery statuses, and any issues encountered during transit Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing their needs courteously Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays for record-keeping purposes Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role involving warehouse operations and material handling Demonstrated ability to operate box trucks or vans with manual transmissions safely and efficiently Familiarity with warehouse experience, including loading/unloading procedures and warehouse safety protocols Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including DOT compliance, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices Skilled in route driving using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes Ability to handle heavy loads with proper manual handling techniques while prioritizing safety at all times Strong customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving on the road Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
