POSITION SUMMARY The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring timely material availability to meet customer and production requirements. This role supports the purchasing and supply chain functions by tracking, monitoring, and expediting international orders with vendors. The Expeditor ensures materials are delivered within required timeframes and communicates status updates to internal teams and external partners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES International Expediting Maintain accurate records of open purchase orders and communicate with vendors via phone and email. Process order acknowledgements and product change notifications (PCNs). Review and process various reports, recommending or implementing order adjustments as needed. Communicate part availability and shortages to appropriate internal stakeholders to support the production schedule. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, providing timely updates to both customers and vendors. Enter work orders as required. Enter sales orders, verifying pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQ), and lead times. Monitor sales orders to ensure on‑time delivery. Generate and review past-due purchase order reports; follow up with GIS (Green Industrial Supply) vendors for tracking details, back-order updates, and proof of delivery. Maintain communication with shipping companies to prevent or resolve shipment delays. Provide coverage for the International Order Management Specialist as needed. Correspond with customers and vendors in a professional and courteous manner. Build and sustain strong vendor relationships to support expedited shipping needs when unexpected issues arise. Perform additional duties as assigned. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. QUALIFICATIONS Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong ability to prioritize, organize, multitask, problem-solve, and meet deadlines. Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Ability to understand and process large amounts of data. Preferred Associate degree 1 - 3 years of experience in computer-based or customer service roles. Experience in international import/export procedures, scheduling, purchasing, order fulfillment, or material planning. SUPERVISION Supervision Received This position reports directly to Director of Administration and Master Trainer. Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision. Supervision Exercised No direct reports WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The work environment is fast-paced and may vary day by day. Work is primarily performed in an office setting, with occasional time spent in the warehouse. The role requires frequent use of hands for typing and handling materials, as well as regular communication with colleagues and customers. Employees must be able to stand, sit, walk, and move throughout the facility as needed. The position also requires the ability to read, write, count, and process information through a computer system.
