Oxford Place is a new American Bistro located in the Ortega area of Jacksonville. The culinary vision at Oxford Place is rooted in Southern influence, with a focus on quality ingredients, recognizable favorites and thoughtful preparation. We are seeking an experienced expeditor for our Friday and Saturday night service. Salary for the position is $15.00/hour + tips Job Description Qualifications: Previous expo, food running, serving, or kitchen experience Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Ability to recognize quality and presentation standards Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail Ability to give clear direction and work well with multiple personalities Dependable, punctual, and professional Available to work Friday nights and Saturday nights Must have Food Handlers Safety Certification or obtain within first 60 days of employment – training will be provided Must be 18 years of age Job Responsibilities: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary expo station Follow proper food handling and food safety procedures Monitor food temperatures and holding times according to restaurant standards Ensure proper handling of allergy-related orders Follow all restaurant sanitation and safety policies Manage the flow of orders between kitchen stations and the dining room Coordinate timing between stations to ensure tables receive their food together Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, food runners, and management Verify food presentation, portion consistency, garnishes, and overall appearance Communicate delays, missing items, and kitchen issues immediately Ensure orders are complete and match the ticket Check for special requests, modifications, allergies, and dietary restrictions Ensure all components of an order are ready before sending food to the dining room. Never allow incorrect, incomplete, or unacceptable food to leave the window Pay: $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week Benefits: Employee discount Work Location: In person
