Responsibilities Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate food delivery. Monitor food preparation progress, communicate order statuses effectively, and prioritize tasks to optimize service flow. Assist with food expediting by checking dishes for quality, presentation, and proper garnishing before serving. Support food safety standards by ensuring proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff about special requests, dietary restrictions, or modifications needed for specific orders. Help with food preparation tasks when necessary, including plating or portioning to meet presentation standards. Maintain organization of orders on the pass station and ensure all dishes are ready for prompt delivery to guests. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between kitchen staff and front-of-house team. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety protocols, and proper handling procedures. Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order tracking is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during busy service hours. Experience with banquet or large event catering is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
