ConfidentialJob Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Expeditor to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials, parts, and supplies necessary for ongoing operations. The Expeditor acts as a liaison between procurement, production, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and prevent delays. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail to maintain the flow of materials and support overall project timelines. Duties Monitor and track the status of orders, shipments, and deliveries to ensure they meet scheduled deadlines. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to expedite the procurement process when delays occur. Communicate proactively with relevant teams to provide updates on delivery statuses and resolve any issues that may arise. Review purchase orders and delivery schedules to identify potential bottlenecks or delays early. Follow up with suppliers or carriers to confirm shipment details and delivery times. Maintain accurate records of all expediting activities, including correspondence, delivery confirmations, and issue resolutions. Assist in prioritizing urgent orders to support production schedules and project deadlines. Collaborate with procurement, inventory management, and production teams to optimize material flow. Skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues quickly and implement solutions. Attention to detail in tracking shipments, verifying order accuracy, and maintaining records. Knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement procedures is preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a collaborative approach. Proficiency in using tracking software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous.
