Ideal Electrical Supply CorpIDEAL Electrical Supply Corporation is seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting supply chain and utility operations by monitoring orders, coordinating shipments, and helping ensure project delivery schedules are met. As a key point of contact for manufacturers, freight carriers, utility customers, and internal teams, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong logistics coordination, excellent customer service, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. Responsibilities · Provide logistics and project support to the Utilities Manager and warehouse leadership team. · Monitor and track factory production timelines, purchase orders, material availability, and shipment statuses. · Maintain and update delivery schedules, technical submittals, certification records, and related order documentation. · Coordinate with vendors, freight carriers, and utility project contacts to confirm delivery dates and address potential delays. · Arrange expedited freight or alternate routing for critical, long-lead, or custom electrical materials when necessary. · Coordinate with delivery drivers, freight carriers, warehouse personnel, and material handlers regarding incoming and outgoing shipments. · Respond to supplier, customer, and internal inquiries regarding order status, shipment tracking, and delivery updates by telephone and email. · Track purchase orders, inventory adjustments, backorders, and material delivery activity accurately. · Maintain organized electronic records within the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. · Assist with inventory audits, material coordination, and job-site delivery planning. · Review bills of lading, packing documentation, purchase orders, and vendor invoices for accuracy and consistency. · Perform additional supply chain, order management, and material coordination duties as assigned. Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or technical training from a trade, business, professional school, college, or university is preferred. · Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred but not required. · Relevant professional experience in electrical wholesale, utility distribution, logistics, purchasing, or infrastructure-related operations may be considered in place of additional education. · 3–5 years of supply chain tracking, logistics, purchasing, warehouse dispatch, expediting, or related project coordination experience preferred. · Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams, as well as experience using ERP, inventory, or order-management systems. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. · Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. · Ability to prioritize urgent material requests and manage multiple manufacturer lead times and delivery schedules simultaneously. · Strong customer service, follow-up, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to learn new supplier portals, ERP systems, and logistics platforms quickly. · Ability to work independently under deadlines while collaborating with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams.
