Expediter

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Expediter to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will coordinate between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and enhance the overall customer experience. This role is essential in ensuring smooth restaurant operations, especially during busy service periods, and requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of food handling procedures. Responsibilities Act as the communication link between kitchen staff and servers to facilitate efficient order flow. Monitor order preparation times to ensure timely delivery to guests. Verify accuracy of orders before they are served, ensuring proper presentation and quality standards are met. Assist in organizing and prioritizing incoming orders during peak hours. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service area. Handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally, providing excellent customer service. Collaborate with team members to uphold hospitality standards and create a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but training is provided. Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety protocols. Experience with bussing, serving is a plus. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and servers. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic culinary knowledge or kitchen experience is advantageous. Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation practices.
