customers primarily through inbound phone/email inquiries and leads generated by outside/regional sales. The role combines customer service, inside sales, technical product support, quoting, order management, vendor communication and ongoing customer follow-up.
Key Responsibilities Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone/email Develop and maintain customer, supplier and internal relationships Prepare quotes and process purchase orders/sales orders Enter and manage sales orders, change orders and cancellations Assist customers with product selection and sizing Provide technical product assistance/troubleshooting Check inventory and product availability Manage order schedules, partial shipments and adjustments Contact manufacturers/vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times and delivery schedules Communicate order status and lead-time information to customers Manage and maintain open sales orders Review weekly sales/order reports and address action items Maintain accurate customer information Learn our product portfolio and the natural gas supply chain Escalate technical/customer issues when appropriate Must-Have Qualifications Relevant inside sales, customer service and/or technical sales experience Technical/mechanical aptitude Ability and willingness to learn a complex product portfolio Strong verbal and written communication Strong customer-service orientation Organization and time-management skills Ability to multitask and shift between priorities throughout the day Problem-solving ability ERP experience General proficiency with Outlook/Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools Willingness to ask questions and seek assistance rather than allow issues to remain unresolved Comfortable with hybrid/onsite requirements Target Experience Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred. Ideal candidates have experience working with industrial-grade equipment and a combination of technical and customer-facing responsibilities.
