THE OPPORTUNITY Biologic dentistry is one of the fastest growing lanes in group dentistry, and it does not scale the way a traditional GP group does. The clinical philosophy drives everything: longer appointments, higher case values, different supply chains, a referral-and-education marketing motion, a patient base that arrives already researched, and a team that has to be hired and trained for a very different standard of care. Our members in this lane have been clear that they want a coach who has actually run it. Not a generalist who learned the vocabulary, but an operator who has built a biologic or integrative practice, made the protocol decisions, priced the work, recruited clinicians who practice this way, and grown past a single location. That is this role. You will support DEO members as their primary coach, and you will be the bench expert the rest of our 28+ coaches pull in when a member goes biologic. You get to do the work you love at scale, with the whole DEO platform behind you, and without carrying the risk of ownership yourself. This is an individual contributor role. You will not manage other coaches. Your impact is measured by what happens in your members’ businesses, not by the size of a team underneath you. WHAT YOU WILL DO MEMBER COACHING Support of DEO members as their primary coach, running recurring coaching calls and holding them accountable to the plan between sessions. Diagnose the real constraint instead of treating the symptom the member walked in with, using DEO’s IDOPE framework and the Profitability Cycle™. Build and maintain a working 90 day plan for every member, with clear priorities, owners, and dates. Coach on the full operating picture: financials and margin, team and org structure, recruiting, systems, marketing, case acceptance, and growth strategy. Know your members’ numbers. Come to every call prepared with their P&L, KPIs, and what changed since you last talked. BIOLOGIC DENTISTRY EXPERTISE Serve as DEO’s bench expert on biologic, biological, and integrative dentistry, taking expert calls with members coached by others on the roster. Coach members through the operational realities of a biologic model: scheduling and chair time for longer procedures, fee strategy and case presentation in a largely out of network environment, biocompatible materials sourcing and cost control, and the equipment investment the protocols require. Help members translate clinical philosophy into a business model that actually produces margin, and be honest with them when it does not. Advise on hiring, onboarding, and training clinical teams to a biologic standard, including associate recruitment in a small talent pool. Guide members on marketing and patient education that is credible, compliant, and does not overpromise. Bring the lane back to DEO. Contribute content, frameworks, and member resources so biologic dentistry becomes shared knowledge across the bench and not just your own. MEMBER RETENTION AND ENGAGEMENT Own retention for your members. Spot disengagement early, name it directly, and act on it before it becomes a cancellation.
