University of Houston497122 Full-Time Deans Office - CON Add to favorites View favorites Department : Deans Office - CON Salary : Commensurate with Experience/Education Description : Coordinates, directs and manages the office of a top university executive limited to the Andy and Barbara Gesssner College of Nursing Dean. This position is based at the UH Sugar Land Campus. Weekly travel to UH Katy Campus and occasional travel to UH Central Campus are required. 1. Coordinates and manages the daily schedule of the university executive with internal and external parties, which includes faculty, staff, university administrators, alumni, students, Board of Regents, government officials and community leaders. 2. Maintains appointment/meeting schedule and calendar. 3. Plans, organizes, corresponds, and provides agendas and minutes for all Dean meetings, retreats and advisory boards. 4. Completes accreditation, Texas Board of Nursing, and professional surveys annually, and correspondence as needed. 5. Initiates payable vouchers; reconciles monthly transactions; maintains procurement card for the office of the executive. 6. Makes travel arrangements, screens all in-coming telephone calls, and sorts and prioritizes mail. 7. Prepares and sends routine responses, reports, memos and correspondence as needed. 8. Functionally supervises projects in the office of the executive. 9. Collects and prepares information for use in discussions and meetings with executive staff members and outside individuals. 10. May supervise secretarial and clerical staff in the office. 11. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Additional Posting Information: Experience will be considered in lieu of education. Education will be considered in lieu of experience. MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience. All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
