WORK AREA Jefferson County Waukesha County Dodge County Washington County JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Operate dump trucks to haul dirt, gravel, stone, and other materials. Assist with residential excavation, grading, and site preparation. Assist with installation of septic systems and underground piping. Work alongside equipment operators on construction sites. Load and unload materials. Perform general construction and excavation labor. Help maintain equipment and keep job sites clean and safe. QUALIFICATIONS Valid driver's license. Good driving record required. CDL Class A or B ,Class A preferred. Able to drive commercial vehicle with manual transmission, or willing to learn. Previous excavation or construction experience is a plus. Reliable, hardworking, and punctual. Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test. WHAT WE OFFER $30–$35 per hour, based on experience. Paid vacation. Health insurance. As an Excavation Laborer / Dump Truck Driver, you’ll support utility and site construction projects by helping to preparing work areas, and transporting materials. You’ll help crews complete excavation, grading, and related work while following equipment safety procedures and applicable safety regulations, including federal construction safety requirements. Responsibilities Drive commercial trucks, including dump trucks, to move soil, aggregate, and equipment between work areas and job sites. Assist with excavation and construction utility work. Support construction grading, foundation excavation, and septic installation activities as project needs require. Perform equipment maintenance and basic construction machinery maintenance; report defects and keep equipment work-ready. Qualifications Commercial driving and commercial truck driving experience; a valid license appropriate for assigned vehicles is required. Construction experience or construction site experience, including excavation or construction utility work, is preferred. Demonstrated heavy equipment operation skills; experience with excavators, backhoes, loaders, is an asset. Mechanical knowledge and equipment maintenance skills, including familiarity with Caterpillar equipment, are helpful. Ability to follow equipment safety procedures, safety regulations, and federal construction safety regulations; paving or horizontal drilling experience is a plus.
