Position Summary The Event, Operations & Sales Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operational functions of the Tri-City Storm while managing merchandise operations, game day execution, fan engagement initiatives, and special events. This role serves as the primary liaison between the hockey operations staff, the front office, and arena management at the Viaero Center, making sure every home game and organizational event runs smoothly. This is also a revenue role. Alongside operations duties, the coordinator carries a ticket sales book, selling full and partial season ticket packages, group outings, and individual game tickets while servicing existing ticket holders. Because this position runs so many of the events where Storm fans and prospects gather, it is expected to turn those touchpoints into leads, renewals, and new business. The coordinator will lead the internship staff, oversee inventory and online merchandise sales, coordinate event and game day logistics, and contribute to weekly and monthly sales goals, all while delivering an exceptional fan experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operations Management Serve as the primary liaison between Storm staff and Viaero Center management to ensure all operational needs are met. Prepare and distribute game day service notes, staffing assignments, parking lists, credentials, and operational timelines. Coordinate arena setup and breakdown for all home games and team events. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure operational readiness and successful event execution. Perform additional duties as assigned. Ticket Sales Meet a daily outbound activity goal set by sales leadership, contacting prospects by phone, email, text, and in person to sell: Full and partial season ticket packages Group tickets Individual game tickets Entry-level corporate partnerships Handle inbound calls and inquiries for ticket sales and customer service. Actively prospect new business through networking, referrals, social platforms, and research. Conduct in-person sales presentations, arena tours, and off-site appointments. Use community events, Kids Club activations, Season Ticket Member events, and mascot appearances to generate leads and book follow-up appointments. Staff sales tables at games and community events to promote ticket packages and drive leads. Maintain detailed records of all interactions in the CRM. Meet or exceed weekly and monthly individual sales goals. Assist with the renewal process and servicing of existing accounts. Build lasting relationships with clients through consistent service and communication. Internship Program Manage the Storm internship program, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training interns. Oversee intern schedules and task assignments. 50/50 Raffle Operations Manage all aspects of the 50/50 raffle program and ensure compliance with Nebraska state laws and regulations. Train staff on policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Oversee raffle execution on game days and all post-event requirements. Community & Special Events Plan and execute non-game events, including: Season Ticket Member events Community engagement events Fan experiences Schedule mascot appearances for game days and community events. Manage the Storm Kids Club program by: Planning one Kids Club activation during a home game each month Coordinating two off-site Kids Club events annually Support additional organizational and promotional events as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field preferred. 1 to 2 years of experience in sports operations, event management, ticket sales, retail management, or a related field. Previous experience supervising part-time staff, interns, or volunteers preferred. Experience with retail operations, inventory management, and point-of-sale systems.
