Applications from outside the Milwaukee area will not be considered. WE'RE HIRING! Event Installer / Warehouse Crew Part-Time & Full-Time | Milwaukee, WI Pay: Starting at $16 to $17/hour. Meet our standards for 90 days and your rate goes up, to as much as $19/hour. Experience: No experience required. We provide hands-on training in warehouse operations, event installation, draping, lighting, equipment handling, and lift operation. Schedule: Weekly hours vary with the event calendar. Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and late nights are part of the job. BUILD IT. INSTALL IT. BRING EVENTS TO LIFE. At Ambrosia Events, we don't just decorate events. We build them. From weddings and corporate galas to large-scale celebrations, our crew transforms empty venues into finished events, then takes it all down. We own our inventory, including furniture, draping, lighting, floral, and décor. Our team handles everything from warehouse preparation and transportation to installation, event breakdown, and inventory management. THE REALITY OF THIS JOB: PLEASE READ This is physically demanding work. It's not a desk job, and it's not just decorating. Physical work: Regularly lift and move 50+ lbs, including tables, furniture, dance floor panels, and equipment. Working at heights: Use ladders and, after training and authorization, lifts to install draping, lighting, and chandeliers. Late nights and early mornings: Some shifts start at 6 AM. Event breakdowns can finish after midnight. Weekends: Weekend availability is essential. Most events take place Friday through Sunday, and employees must be available for scheduled installations and late-night breakdowns. Travel: Work at venues throughout Wisconsin and occasionally surrounding states. Tools: Bring basic tools such as a tool belt, drill, and tape measure. We provide specialty equipment. WHAT YOU'LL DO Warehouse Operations Pull, pack, and stage event rentals using pull sheets and load lists. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Clean, inspect, organize, and restock inventory. Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Stay productive between events by cleaning, organizing, maintaining, and preparing inventory without waiting for constant direction. Event Installation Set up furniture, dance floors, bars, backdrops, staging, and event décor. Install draping, ceiling treatments, chandeliers, and lighting. Work with ladders, lifts, and tools following safety procedures. Follow floor plans, installation instructions, and crew leader directions. Meet event deadlines and stay professional around clients, vendors, and venue staff. Event Breakdown (Strike) Dismantle installations and carefully pack equipment. Load trucks correctly, protecting inventory from damage. Leave venues clean and organized. Return, unload, inspect, and restock equipment at the warehouse. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Experience is optional. Reliability, work ethic, and attitude are not. Shows up on time, ready to work. Works hard and stays productive without being pushed. Takes ownership of assigned tasks and completes them without constant supervision. Follows instructions and accepts constructive feedback. Respects supervisors, coworkers, clients, and company equipment. Follows safety procedures and communicates problems immediately. Comfortable performing physical labor and working at heights. Available for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Has reliable transportation to scheduled work locations. Experience in construction, warehouse operations, moving, furniture installation, lighting, or event production is a plus, but not required.
