Event Field & Warehouse Technician

About Us: Rental Brothers is a growing event rental company specializing in tents, stages, tables, chairs, and event equipment for weddings, festivals, corporate events, and community celebrations throughout Calgary and Southern Alberta. We are looking for a hardworking, dependable, and mechanically inclined individual to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines event deliveries and installations during our busy season with warehouse operations, equipment maintenance, repairs, and building projects during the slower months. We're looking for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing things properly, and isn't afraid to pick up a tool and figure something out. Responsibilities Event Deliveries & Installations (Busy Season) Load, transport, deliver, and pick up event rental equipment. Assist with the installation and dismantling of tents, stages, tables, chairs, and other event equipment. Work as part of a field crew to complete installations safely and efficiently. Operate equipment and assist with loading and unloading trucks. Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with customers. Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment-handling practices. Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Assist with other field and warehouse duties as required. Warehouse, Repairs & Maintenance (Off-Season) Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair rental equipment. Complete general woodworking, carpentry, and fabrication projects. Build, modify, and repair equipment, storage solutions, and other company assets. Perform minor repairs and maintenance around our warehouse and facilities. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Assist with organizing, improving, and maintaining warehouse operations. Identify damaged equipment and recommend practical repairs or improvements. Assist with preparing equipment and inventory for the upcoming event season. Requirements Physically fit and comfortable performing demanding manual labour. Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak event season. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. Able to work independently and take initiative when completing assigned tasks. Valid driver's licence preferred. Highly Valued Skills & Experience The following skills are significant assets , but not necessarily required: Carpentry, woodworking, construction, or general trades experience. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Mechanical aptitude and experience repairing or maintaining equipment. Experience building structures, fixtures, or custom projects. Welding, metalworking, or fabrication experience. Previous experience installing tents, stages, scaffolding, or temporary structures. Forklift, skid steer, or other equipment operation experience. Experience driving cube vans or commercial trucks. We especially value candidates who are practical problem-solvers and enjoy working with their hands.
