Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. Opening Summer of 2025, COTA’s amusement park is a 20-acre theme park featuring two first of their kind Roller Coasters and over three dozen rides. 


Job Description: 


The Event F&B Vendor Operations Assistant provides hands-on operational support during small, medium, to large-scale events by assisting the Vendor Program Manager with real-time execution needs. This role functions as an on-the-ground extension of the Vendor Program Manager, helping ensure vendors receive timely support when multiple priorities occur simultaneously across the venue. 


This is an event-based, hourly role designed to improve responsiveness, efficiency, and execution during high-volume event days while maintaining a single point of strategic decision-making.

Requirements & Essential Functions: 


 

Event-Day Support 


  • Execute real-time tasks as assigned (e.g., POS delivery, vendor placement assistance, beverage distribution, etc.) 
  • Act as an on-site extension of the Vendor Program Manager, serving as eyes and ears in other areas of the venue. 
  • Assist vendors with straightforward needs such as access issues, basic troubleshooting, or equipment requests. 
  • Support compressed load-in windows by assisting with vendor arrivals. 
  • Relay accurate information between vendors and the Vendor Program Manager. 


 

Pre-Event Support 


  • Assist with event preparation 1–2 days prior to events (approximately 6–8 hours per day). 
  • Support setup logistics related to vendor placement, equipment staging, and beverage distribution as directed.

Required Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in events, hospitality, food & beverage, or operational support roles preferred. 
  • Ability to take direction clearly and execute tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. 
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail when relaying information. 
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments. 
  • Physically able to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and lift/move equipment as needed. 
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event days. 
  • Strong judgment on when to troubleshoot independently versus escalate issues. 

 

Physical Demand & Work Environments:  


  • Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms. 
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull. 
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods. 
  • Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events. 

 


Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
