Full Job Description We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our Event Delivery & Setup Crew for the busy event season. This is a hands-on, physical position involving the delivery, setup, breakdown, and pickup of event rental equipment throughout Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas. Our equipment includes tables, chairs, dance floors, tents, linens, and other event rental items. This is a seasonal 1099 independent contractor opportunity through January , with the potential for continued work based on performance, reliability, availability, and business needs. Responsibilities Load and unload event rental equipment Drive delivery vehicles to and from event locations Deliver tables, chairs, dance floors, tents, and other rental equipment Set up and break down equipment at event locations Follow delivery instructions and event setup diagrams Safely load and secure equipment for transportation Verify orders to ensure the correct equipment is delivered and returned Keep equipment and vehicles clean and organized Communicate professionally with clients, venues, and other vendors Work efficiently with other members of the delivery and setup crew Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a valid driver's license Must have a clean driving record Must have reliable transportation to and from our Simi Valley location Must be comfortable driving delivery vehicles Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50+ lbs. Must be comfortable with physical work and being on your feet for extended periods Must be dependable and punctual Must be able to follow instructions and work independently when necessary Must maintain a professional attitude when working around clients and venues Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors Previous experience with event rentals, delivery driving, moving, warehouse work, construction, event production, or similar physical work is a plus but not required . Schedule This is an event-based position , so there is no traditional Monday–Friday schedule. Availability may be needed for: Weekdays Weekends Early mornings Evenings Late-night pickups Some holidays Weekend availability is especially important. Workload varies each week based on scheduled events. Some assignments may be simple deliveries or pickups, while others may include loading, delivery, full setup, breakdown, pickup, and unloading. Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor position . Compensation is determined per assignment rather than by a standard hourly rate. Pay is based on factors including: Delivery and pickup requirements Route and travel Size of the order Setup and breakdown requirements Expected workload Complexity of the event Compensation for each assignment will be communicated based on the delivery, route, and expected workload. Independent contractors are responsible for their applicable taxes and will receive appropriate tax documentation as required. Seasonal Position With Potential for Continued Work This position is currently expected to run through January . For the right individuals, there may be opportunities for continued work after the seasonal period . We are especially interested in people who are dependable, hardworking, communicate well, take care of equipment, and consistently show up when they commit to an assignment.
