Estimator – Millwork & Building Materials Annandale Millwork and Allied Systems Corporation Full-Time | Winchester, VA Job Summary Annandale Millwork and Allied Systems Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for reviewing construction plans, preparing material take-offs and estimates, developing quotes, and assisting with the bidding process for residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with numbers and construction documents, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Industry-specific software and product training can be provided for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Review blueprints and construction documents to prepare accurate material take-offs. Prepare quotes and estimates for labor, materials, equipment, vendors, and subcontractors. Develop conceptual budgets as well as detailed estimates from final construction documents. Price products using multiple sources and create sales order items with appropriate source materials. Prepare and review bids for accuracy and completeness. Communicate estimating information to field operations and participate in pre-construction meetings as needed. Identify value-engineering opportunities and potential cost-saving alternatives. Assist with inventory and other estimating department responsibilities. Maintain accurate, organized project and estimating information. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to read and understand commercial and residential blueprints. General knowledge of building construction, materials, and construction methods preferred. Experience preparing detailed material take-offs is a plus. Preferred Experience Experience in construction estimating, millwork, lumber, building materials, windows and doors, or related industries is preferred but not required for every product category .
