Equipment Procurement & Asset Specialist

Peri & Sons Farms is seeking applications for a full-time EQUIPMENT PROCUREMENT & ASSET SPECIALIST in Yerington, Nevada. Position Summary: This position oversees and is responsible for all administrative aspects of equipment rental, vendor and agreement management and analysis of expenditures and ROI. Essential job functions include: · Administration and analysis of equipment leasing and purchasing · Review requester’s needs, determine equipment and coordinate timely delivery · Obtain and analyze vendor quotes, terms, etc. · Complete internal processes including asset numbering, dash cams, etc. · Audit vendor agreements, ensuring execution, billing, delivery dates and other items are accurate and timely · Create purchase orders, prepare ROI for capital purchases and rentals · Track all maintenance and related expenses · Maintain and track capital purchases, approvals, equipment delivery, etc. · Prepare cost analysis for determining purchase vs. leasing, and for determining when to retire assets · Equipment management · Prepare and maintain an 18 month plan for rolling old equipment out of service and new equipment in service with Operational Accounting Controller and Shop Operations Manager. Execute elements of approved plan. · Inspect equipment to ensure all DOT, regulatory requirements, safety and safety equipment meet requirements · Coordinate maintenance and/or rental swaps, reporting any maintenance concerns · Assist with maintenance items as needed · Assist with loading/unloading equipment as needed · Other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS and abilities: · Minimum of 3 years mechanical equipment procurement or closely related experience · Above average communication skills, both verbal and written · Above average computer skills · Excellent attention to detail Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and or move objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds. Specific vision required to perform this job includes close vision and the ability to adjust focus. It is required to possess the ability to travel regularly to all facilities via air and/or automobile. Other physical demands may be required of this position. There are some considerable risks if safety procedures are not followed. Compensation: Starting base salary will be competitive and will depend on the candidate’s qualifications. Eligibility for discretionary profit-sharing bonuses after 1 year.
