Equipment Logistics Coordinator — Dagger Machinery

Job Description Dagger Machinery is looking for an experienced, motivated Equipment Logistics Coordinator to manage transportation for our equipment purchases, inventory transfers, and customer deliveries after a sale. You’ll step into an established flow of shipments generated by our own machinery purchases and sales, working directly with our team, customers, and carriers. Your focus will be coordinating equipment transportation, preparing customer freight quotes, negotiating rates, and managing each shipment from pickup through delivery. Responsibilities Coordinate transportation for equipment Dagger purchases, transfers, and sells. Prepare accurate, competitive freight quotes for customers and arrange delivery of their purchased equipment. Find qualified carriers, verify carrier credentials and insurance, and negotiate transportation rates. Communicate daily with carriers across the country by phone and email. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers while expanding our network of reliable transportation partners. Manage daily shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery. Work closely with our purchasing, sales, and shop teams to coordinate equipment readiness, loading, and delivery. Resolve transportation issues quickly and professionally, keeping customers and our team informed of delays or changes. Enter and maintain accurate shipment details, rates, schedules, and documentation in our systems. Track freight costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control transportation expenses. Take initiative, follow through, and bring a strong work ethic every day. Skills and Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. Effective negotiation and relationship-building skills. Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple shipments at once. Highly motivated, dependable, and proactive. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to stay focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Sheets and Docs. Experience coordinating heavy equipment transportation is a plus.
