Entry Level Inventory & Purchasing Specialist

Arcadia Test, Inc. is a Fremont manufacturer of ICT fixtures, FCT bed-of-nails fixtures, and related ATE / PCB test equipment. We are hiring an entry-level Inventory & Purchasing Specialist — one person who will learn and own inventory control and purchasing in a working shop. This role needs training. We will teach Arcadia’s parts, vendors, and shop routines. You will grow into keeping stock accurate and buying what Engineering and Production need so fixture builds are not blocked. This is hands-on manufacturing support, not a corporate desk job. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Learn and maintain accurate inventory counts for fixture parts, hardware, electronics, and shop materials • Receive, inspect, label, and put away incoming shipments; update inventory records the same day • Pull and kit parts for jobs / travelers as Production and Engineering request • Flag low stock and shortages early so builds are not blocked • Place and track purchase orders with vendors (DigiKey, Amazon, and other suppliers as directed) • Confirm lead times and follow up on late or incomplete orders • Keep purchasing records organized (POs, packing slips, invoices) for Accounting and job costing • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Accounting so part numbers, quantities, and job references stay consistent • Follow and help improve simple inventory and purchasing routines as you learn the role • Other duties as assigned to keep materials flowing to the floor REQUIREMENTS: • Entry-level candidates welcome — willingness to learn inventory and purchasing in a manufacturing shop • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented • Able to work on-site in Fremont in a manufacturing / shop environment • Clear written and verbal communication with vendors and internal teams • Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic computer systems for tracking parts and orders • Able to lift and move typical warehouse / shop materials as part of receiving and stocking • Eligible to work in the United States NICE-TO-HAVES (not required): • Prior inventory, shipping/receiving, or purchasing experience in manufacturing or electronics • Familiarity with electronics distributors (e.g. DigiKey) or industrial suppliers • Experience with purchase orders, packing slips, and simple cost tracking • Bilingual skills a plus ABOUT ARCADIA TEST: Arcadia Test designs and builds precision test fixtures for PCBAs used across industries.
