WHAT THE JOB LOOKS LIKE OTR reefer freight Approximately 1,900-2,500 solo miles per week or more No unloading Day and night driving Weekend and holiday work required Home time every two weeks TRAINING COMES FIRST Qualified trainees complete approximately 3-5 weeks and 200-250 hours of paid behind-the-wheel training. North Carolina falls under the $650 per week trainee-pay rate. Orientation lasts no more than two days, with $300 paid upon hire.
