Know lumber? This role was built for you. You know what happens when a counter rep can't find a price, an order gets keyed with the wrong unit of measure, or a contractor's quote takes too long. You also know the system can fix most of it, if it's set up right and people know how to use it. Scherer Bros. is hiring an Enterprise Software & Systems Industry Expert to own BisTrack across our sales and administrative teams. You'll be the go-to administrator, trainer and problem-solver for the platform that runs our day: order entry, pricing, inventory lookup, estimating and customer management. This is a role for someone who has worked in a lumberyard or building materials business and wants to make the software work for the people on the counter, at the desk and in the yard. What you'll do Own BisTrack Be our lead BisTrack administrator: configuration, data integrity and security permissions. Resolve BisTrack tickets from sales, counter, admin and management, and fix root causes so they don't come back. Work with IT and vendors on updates, patches and integrations. Make the counter and the desk run smoother Spend time with sales reps, counter staff and admin teams to see where their day gets stuck. Streamline order entry, pricing, inventory lookup, estimating and customer management in BisTrack. Find, test and recommend new modules and enhancements that save time and money. Teach it so it sticks Build and deliver training, documentation and desk-side coaching for new hires and veterans alike. Spot knowledge gaps early and keep the learning going after go-live. Guide teams through software updates and new best-practice workflows. Keep improving Apply Lean tools like standard work and root-cause problem solving to cut errors and waste. Lead cross-functional teams across sales and operations to standardize how work gets done. Track system usage, efficiency gains and training results, and report what's working. What you bring Must-haves 5+ years in ERP administration, enterprise software support or IT systems management in lumber, building materials, wholesale, retail or manufacturing. Hands-on experience with BisTrack, Epicor Eagle or a comparable industry ERP. SQL Server know-how, including SQL reporting, smart views and dashboards. Experience with system integrations, reporting tools and data analytics. Working knowledge of security best practices and data governance. A knack for explaining technical things in plain language, and patience as a trainer. Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Valid Minnesota driver's license. Big pluses You've worked a lumberyard counter, in inside sales or in yard operations, and understand how a building materials business runs. Lean or Continuous Improvement experience. Familiarity with accounting principles. Exposure to helpdesk tools (such as KACE), Active Directory, VMware, and cloud or on-premises servers.
