· Enterprise Scheduling Specialist — Kinaxis Maestro
Quintile AdvisoryJob Summary We are seeking an Enterprise Scheduling Specialist with hands-on expertise in Kinaxis Enterprise Scheduling (Maestro™) and/or production scheduling platforms such as PlanetTogether, SAP PP/DS, SAP APO, AspenTech, or similar APS tools. This is a precision role — not a generalist SC planning position. The ideal candidate understands finite capacity scheduling from the shop floor up — constraint models, work centre calendars, changeover logic, and the gap between a planned schedule and what actually executes. You have configured, implemented, and owned the go-live of a scheduling solution. You can talk about what you built, what broke, and what you learned. Duties Scheduling Implementation & Configuration Lead or support end-to-end implementation of an enterprise scheduling solution — Kinaxis Enterprise Scheduling (Maestro™), Kinaxis Production Scheduling by PlanetTogether, SAP PP/DS (S/4HANA or APO), or AspenTech — from blueprint and solution design through configuration, testing, cutover, and hypercare. Configure constraint-aware scheduling models: resource models, work centre calendars, shift definitions, capacity constraints, tooling availability, and sequence-dependent changeover logic. Build and tune scheduling rules, optimization parameters, and prioritization logic — and validate them against real shop floor execution data. Design and implement the feedback loop between planning (MPS/MRP) and detailed scheduling — ensuring disruptions, capacity changes, and execution variance propagate correctly in both directions. Configure scheduling KPI scorecards: OTIF, OTD, manufacturing lead time, throughput utilization, and schedule attainment. Define baseline and target values with the client operations team. Translate informal plant-specific scheduling knowledge into repeatable, documented configuration logic that scales across multiple sites. Planning & Integration Design the integration architecture between the scheduling platform and ERP back-ends (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle, Microsoft D365) — including master data flows, production orders, BOMs, routings, and work centres. Manage the relationship between MPS, supply planning, and detailed scheduling modules — ensuring planning decisions translate into executable, constraint-aware schedules without manual re-entry. Support scenario planning and what-if analysis: configure simulation workbooks that allow planners to model the impact of disruptions, rush orders, capacity changes, and demand spikes on the live schedule. Own the test strategy for the scheduling workstream: design and execute unit testing of scheduling rules, integration testing with ERP and MES systems, and UAT with operations teams. Business Process & Change Management Lead requirements gathering and blueprint workshops with plant operations teams: production supervisors, master schedulers, demand planners, industrial engineers, and supply planning leads. Translate manufacturing process requirements — shift patterns, campaign scheduling, mixed-mode production, multi-plant constraints — into scheduling configuration decisions. Lead cutover planning for the scheduling go-live: data migration, parallel run design, cutover rehearsals, and hypercare stabilization. Drive adoption: train schedulers, production supervisors, and planners on scheduling workflows. Build user guides and SOPs that survive the project team. Requirements Domain Knowledge Strong understanding of production planning concepts: MPS, MRP, CRP, finite vs. infinite capacity scheduling, and the planning-to-scheduling hierarchy. Hands-on understanding of shop floor manufacturing: work centre calendars, shift definitions, setup and run times, sequence-dependent changeovers, yield management, and the gap between planned and actual production. Experience with S&OP / IBP processes and how production scheduling fits within the broader integrated planning cycle. Solid unders…
