Enrichment (Purchasing) Specialist (Must Reside in California)

Summary of Position: Enrichment (Purchasing) Specialist needed to place educational material and curriculum orders for charter school students. This is a year-round position with excellent benefits and a supportive work culture. Work hours are Mondays - Fridays from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Some overtime may be required during peak seasons. Duties and Responsibilities: Order Processing Responsibilities: Process Enrichment orders for students, following the normal processing procedures Process orders in accordance with enrichment guidelines Ensure that orders placed with vendors exactly match orders as they appear in the School’s ordering system, including correct quantities of items, shipping addresses, etc. Communicate with Homeschool Teachers (HSTs) and vendors, as needed, to obtain missing order information or to seek clarification about orders or ordering procedure Mark items appropriately as consumable or non-consumable Annotate and upload the correct receipt to each processed order and to the School’s credit card account; code each credit card transaction appropriately The Charter School reserves the right to request any and/or all employees to work overtime during busy periods or in cases of emergency Provide timely, pleasant, professional customer service via telephone and email Attend team and department-wide meetings Other duties, as assigned Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications Type 45+ WPM Demonstrated communication skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member TB Test Clearance Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance Education: Possess a high school diploma Physical Demands: The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that persons within this classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Spends the majority of the day using a computer standing and/or sitting at a desk with forward bending from the waist, leaning on forearms, and looking down, which requires neck flexion. Will periodically exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Will sit most of the time but may walk or stand for brief periods of time: will occasionally be required to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach above shoulder level, and/or to ascend and descend a step stool or step ladder. Must possess the ability to hear and perceive the nature of sound. Must possess visual acuity and depth perception. Must be capable of providing oral information, both in person, virtually, and over the telephone. Must possess the manual dexterity to operate business-related equipment and to handle and work with various objects and materials. It is occasionally necessary to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 40-50 lbs.
