Engineering Release Specialist – SAP PLM / BOM / MRP Location: Auburn Hills, MI Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site We are currently seeking an Engineering Release Specialist for a contract-to-direct opportunity with a manufacturing company in Auburn Hills, MI. This position is ideal for someone with experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment who has strong hands-on experience with SAP, SAP PLM, engineering BOMs, material master data, MRP, and engineering changes. The Engineering Release Specialist will help ensure approved engineering information is accurately converted into SAP production demand and that material data and engineering releases are maintained accurately and on schedule. What You'll Do Manage engineering BOMs and material releases through SAP PLM Create and maintain SAP material master records Support material demand creation through the SAP MRP process Investigate SAP release and material-related issues and coordinate corrective actions Coordinate material requirements and rework plans with Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, and Project Management Process and track purchase requisitions and purchase order requests Respond to engineering inquiries related to material pricing, requisitions, purchasing, and delivery status Track engineering release status and identify potential project schedule risks Monitor open requisitions, material releases, deliveries, rework, supplier issues, and other outstanding items Maintain engineering documentation, supplier quotations, and catalog information in SAP PLM Prepare and maintain departmental KPI reports and status updates Communicate material and engineering-release risks to engineering leadership and project teams What We're Looking For 3+ years of SAP PLM and SAP ERP experience Experience working with engineering BOMs Experience with SAP material master records Working knowledge of MRP Experience with purchase requisitions and material planning processes Experience working in an engineering and manufacturing environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to investigate data/process issues and coordinate solutions across multiple departments Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, and suppliers Preferred Experience SAP ECC 6.0 Autodesk Vault PDM Autodesk Inventor Engineering change management Engineering drawings and documentation Automotive or other high-volume manufacturing experience Why Consider This Opportunity?
