Warren County Emergency Services911 Dispatcher / Emergency Telecommunicator The Warren County Emergency Communications Center is seeking dependable, calm-under-pressure individuals to join our team as 911 Dispatchers. Dispatchers are the critical first point of contact during emergencies and provide lifesaving communication support to law enforcement, fire and EMS agencies throughout Warren County. No prior dispatch experience is required. We provide all training on the job. About the Center: The Warren County Emergency Services Communications Center answers and processes all 911 calls for Warren County, Missouri. Our center provides dispatch services for: 3 Fire Protection Districts 2 Ambulance Districts 5 Law Enforcement Agencies Dispatchers are trained and certified in: Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Emergency Police Dispatch (EPD) Emergency Fire Dispatch (EFD) What You’ll Do: Answer emergency and non-emergency calls from the public Gather critical information quickly and accurately Dispatch police, fire, and EMS responders using radio and computer systems Monitor multiple radio channels and prioritize emergency traffic Provide pre-arrival instructions, including CPR and other lifesaving instructions, after certification Enter and maintain accurate information in CAD and law enforcement databases Coordinate responses between multiple agencies during emergency incidents Remain calm and professional during high-stress situations Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED At least 18 years of age Ability to pass a criminal background check No felony convictions Strong communication and multitasking skills Basic computer knowledge and typing ability Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts Day shift and night shift rotations Every other weekend off Holidays and weekends required Training: Paid on-the-job training provided EMD, EPD, and EFD certification provided Ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities Benefits: Starting pay: $28/hour Full paid employee benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance LAGERS retirement (Level 7) Paid time off Stable government/public safety career Supportive team environment Why This Career Matters: 911 dispatchers are often the first first responders during an emergency.
