Electrical Planner

Location: True North Mine, Bissett, Manitoba (Camp-Based) Job Type: Full-Time Company: 1911 Gold Corporation Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off Work Location: This position is based at the True North Mine site. Camp accommodations and meals are provided during scheduled work rotations in accordance with the Company’s Camp Accommodation Policy. Transportation to and from the mine site is coordinated from designated travel points in accordance with the Company’s Travel Policy. Position Overview Reporting directly to Electrical General Foreman, the Electrical Maintenance Planner is responsible for liaising between Engineering, Operations and Maintenance groups to ensure the maximum use of Maintenance resources while minimizing interruptions to Operations and Production. This position will be 14/14 schedule. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Develops detailed planned jobs including determination of labour resources needed and downtime required, parts and equipment required to complete both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Formulate and develop long term plans, coordinating with mine dept, UG projects and fixed plant maintenance for shutdowns. Ensures all regulatory inspections are scheduled to maintain compliance. Manages the backlog to ensure that work is moving through the planning/scheduling/execution process in a timely, logical and safe manner Develop Weekly schedules for the Electrical Maintenance Supervisors to execute as agreed upon during the weekly planning/scheduling meeting. Work with Llumin CMMS to define and organize assets Develop PM Programs for assets to improve reliability and maintain regulatory compliance Coordination and Records The planner ensures that all internal beneficiaries of Maintenance receive timely, efficient and quality service. Acts as an effective liaison between Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Mill & Mine Operations to meet production goals, minimize downtime and ensure compliance with the regulatory and preventive maintenance requirements. Manages the records, documentation, and work history for the department. Budget and Cost Control Contribute to the development of the annual maintenance operating budget. Monitors and controls costs within the budgetary guidelines. Assist in timely preparation of AFE justifications in compliance with the needs of the department and the approved capital budget. Qualifications Education Trade certificate in Electrical or Instrumentation and/or post-secondary education in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field. Experience Relevant experience in Mining, U/G Mining, processing facilities Previous planner experience an asset Previous project management experience an asset Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, CMMS (Llumin, etc) Knowledge of Maintenance & Reliability terminology and processes.
