EFP - Quality Assurance Technician
EFP, LLCQUALITY TECHNICIAN EFP, LLC, La Vergne, TN 1st Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Starting at $22 - $25 / hour JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that all materials, components, and finished products meet established customer specifications, engineering and design requirements, internal quality standards, and applicable regulatory and quality system requirements. This position performs a variety of quality assurance and quality control activities, including incoming and outgoing inspections, in-process inspections, first-piece approvals, dock audits, material disposition support, and the identification and documentation of nonconforming materials and products. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Shipping / receiving inspection Assist with PPAP process Dock audits Sort damaged material and repack if necessary Track scrap from area Maintain MRB area Perform ISO9001 audits Assist with production as needed Maintain 5S activities Performs other duties assigned Reports to Director of Quality Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) Conduct first piece approval audits All other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Strong knowledge of PPAP for manufacturing processes Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Must be able to read a ruler, tape measure and other measuring devices Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, write and speak) Two years of prior quality control experience preferred ISO9001 certified auditor (preferred) Detail oriented/organized PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending and stooping Lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing up to 40lbs COMPANY OVERVIEW An industry leader in providing practical solutions to foam molding and fabrication, EFP has a diversified product offering and serves the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical, automotive, recreational vehicle, appliance, plumbing, consumer goods, and building and construction industries.
