Gainesville drivers: this Eastern regional fleet runs out of a terminal just down the road in Ocala, keeps its freight on the East Coast, and hires new CDL holders straight out of school. How the Pay Works Average weekly gross: $1,200 Starting rate: $0.55 per mile, plus 1 cent per mile for every additional 12 months of experience, up to $0.65 Guaranteed floor: $1,000 a week for your first 3 months after solo dispatch Extras: $15 stop pay and a monthly performance bonus Miles: around 2,500 per week Where You Run Up and down the Eastern seaboard Loads do not go far west Dry van freight, day and night dispatches Home every 2 weeks Paid Training New CDL-A holders are welcome to apply 4 to 6 weeks over the road with an experienced trainer Guaranteed weekly training pay, then straight to full solo driver pay Must have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days 401(k) with company match Paid time off $300 orientation pay on your first paycheck, travel to orientation covered Riders and pets: experienced drivers from day one, new drivers after training Requirements Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL Trainees welcome, no prior experience needed: just a valid Class A CDL and 120+ hours of CDL training Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years Military experience considered with a valid DD214 No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years, no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years Must pass hair and urine drug testing Your CDL, your first truck, a terminal close to home.
