E911 Dispatcher

Job Summary Dade County Emergency Services is seeking a dedicated E-911 Dispatcher to join our team. This vital role involves responding promptly to emergency calls and coordinating dispatch services across Dade County, Georgia. The dispatcher will operate during night shifts, providing critical support during weekends, holidays, and emergency situations. The ideal candidate must be capable of multitasking efficiently in high-pressure environments and possess strong communication skills to ensure public safety. Duties Answer incoming E-911 emergency calls with professionalism and composure. Assess the nature of each emergency and determine appropriate response protocols. Dispatch emergency service departments including police, fire, and medical teams throughout Dade County. Coordinate with field personnel to ensure timely response to incidents. Maintain accurate records of all calls and dispatch activities. Operate radio and communication equipment effectively, ensuring clear and concise communication at all times. Work during night shifts from 06:00 PM to 06:00 AM, including weekends, holidays, on-call rotations, and during emergencies as needed. Demonstrate the ability to multitask efficiently while managing multiple incoming calls and dispatch responsibilities simultaneously. Experience Prior experience in emergency dispatching or a related communication role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Strong ability to multitask in fast-paced environments is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies. Familiarity with basic computer operations.
