​E-commerce Operations & Fulfillment Specialist

We are looking for an organized, proactive person to take ownership of our daily e-commerce operations and fulfillment. About the Role This is a hands-on role combining order fulfillment, inventory management, shipping logistics, and customer service. You’ll help keep our operations running smoothly—from receiving incoming inventory to ensuring each customer’s order is packed carefully and shipped on time. You will manage everything from the moment a customer places an order to the physical receipt of bulk inventory. You will oversee multi-channel stock levels, handle customer support, optimize shipping rates, and physically manage warehouse inventory. During peak seasons, you will also help direct hourly support staff to ensure orders go out on time. Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Warehouse Operations Pick, pack, and ship daily orders accurately and efficiently. Generate shipping labels and manage orders across our sales channels (Shopify, Faire and Dropshipping partners). Maintain a clean, organized warehouse with clearly labeled inventory and accessible packing supplies. Coordinate fulfillment priorities and guide additional support staff during peak periods. Inventory & Receiving Maintain accurate inventory records in Shopify and across connected sales channels. Perform regular stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and flag low inventory. Help to receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming shipments. We are currently in a shared warehouse space with floating staff. The floating staff receive our shipments and bring them into our office suite every 1-2 weeks. Track and reorder shipping supplies and packaging to prevent interruptions. Shipping & Logistics Monitor shipping rates, packaging choices, and carrier charges to help manage fulfillment costs. Track shipments, investigate delivery issues, and coordinate with carriers when needed. Identify practical ways to improve packing efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times. Customer Experience Respond to customer emails about orders, products, shipping, returns, and exchanges. Resolve issues professionally and thoughtfully in line with company policies. Communicate clearly about shipping updates and preorder timelines. Flag recurring customer concerns and suggest improvements. What We’re Looking For 1–3 years of experience in e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse operations, or small business logistics. Strong working knowledge of Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform. Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets to track inventory and organize information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities. A reliable, resourceful self-starter who follows through and takes ownership of their work. Physical Requirements This role regularly involves physical warehouse work, including: Safely lifting, carrying, moving, and stacking cartons weighing up to 50 pounds. Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods, particularly during receiving and busy fulfillment days. Safely using utility carts, pallet jacks, and box cutters. Why Join Maison Rue?
