E-commerce & Inventory Associate

About Riot Quilt Co. Riot Quilt Co. is an independent fabric shop offering a curated selection of new, vintage, and secondhand fabrics. We’re building something a little different from the traditional quilt shop, with an emphasis on bold creativity, individuality, and giving great fabric a second life. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to help manage our growing online store and inventory operations. This is an opportunity to join a small business early and grow into a larger role as we expand. Primary Responsibilities E-Commerce & Product Listings Photograph and upload fabric and merchandise to our Shopify website. Create accurate product descriptions, pricing, and inventory quantities. Organize products into appropriate website collections and categories. Maintain consistent product photography and listing quality. Update and correct existing listings as needed. Inventory Management Receive, measure, sort, and organize incoming fabric. Accurately record yardage and inventory quantities. Print and apply product labels, barcodes, and pricing. Maintain organized inventory and storage areas. Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Ensure physical inventory matches online availability. Social Media & Marketing Support Photograph new arrivals and featured merchandise. Create simple social media posts and graphics. Assist with Instagram and Facebook content. Help promote new products, sales, and special events. Maintain consistency with Riot Quilt Co.’s brand identity. Opportunities for Growth As you become comfortable with our products and systems, responsibilities may expand to include: Picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. Printing shipping labels and preparing packages. Managing order fulfillment and shipment accuracy. Processing returns and inventory adjustments. Assisting with customer order inquiries. Supporting warehouse organization and daily operations. Qualifications Required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable using computers and learning new software. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated. Good written communication skills. Willingness to perform repetitive tasks accurately. Preferred, but Not Required Shopify or other e-commerce experience. Knowledge of fabric, sewing, or quilting. Experience with Canva or social media content creation. Retail, warehouse, or inventory experience. Product photography experience. Schedule & Work Environment We offer a highly flexible work schedule. Following an initial hands-on training period, employees can choose their own working hours within agreed operating parameters. This is an on-site position at our Richmond, TX warehouse.
