We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable individual to join our team as a DZ Driver / Material Handler on the day shift based in Brampton, Ontario . This role is primarily in the warehouse, with additional driving responsibilities as needed to support operations (including coverage for vacations, sick days, or periods with extra scheduled deliveries). Key Responsibilities Safely load and unload products and materials manually or using basic material handling equipment Deliver products to customers in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and submitted Complete daily documentation, including (but not limited to) driver logs, vehicle inspections, delivery receipts, and hours-of-service records Inspect vehicles and report any defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage Ensure all loads are properly secured, protected from weather conditions, and compliant with safety standards Oversee cargo handling, including proper load preparation and adherence to safety regulations and applicable legislation Position vehicles correctly for loading and unloading, following directions from loading staff as required Operate onboard technology and communication equipment such as truck cab computers, radios, and phones to coordinate with dispatch and supervisors Skills and Qualifications Valid Class 3 driver's license (D) with Z (Air Brake) endorsement Certification from a recognized truck driving school Ability to drive safely in all weather conditions using defensive driving techniques Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and dispatch High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Comfortable with numbers, recordkeeping, and retaining information Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Proficient with computers and computerized inventory systems Experience using material handling equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, pallet lifters, forklifts, strapping machines, and industrial lift trucks Ability to lift and handle weights of up to 50 lbs Pay: $24.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance Paid time off RRSP match Vision care Experience: Warehouse: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: Air Brake Endorsement (preferred) Class 3 Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
