Dymocks Company Store Buyer

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Buyer to join the Dymocks Books team!

Reporting to the Lead Category Manager, this role plays a key part in shaping the book assortment across our company-owned store network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage back list book buying across the Dymocks company store network
• Collaborate with the book team to strengthen and grow the company store backlist
• Work closely with the Planning and Allocation team to identify additional stock opportunities and proactively address underperforming stock
• Partner with the Lead Category Manager on key category callouts and promotional opportunities
• Build strong relationships with publishers to drive key title performance, margin opportunities, and backlist buying strategies
• Support stores alongside the Planning team to optimise backlist assortment, category opportunities, and stock flow

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a buying role (book retail buying experience preferred)
• A strong understanding of the book industry
• Experience working with retail systems
• Intermediate Excel skills
