Dunp Truck Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dump Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty dump trucks. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably across various job sites. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on dump trucks, including engine, transmission, hydraulics, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems. Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hands-on troubleshooting techniques. Conduct fabrication and welding tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment components. Service and repair auxiliary equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and other heavy machinery. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of vehicle systems during repairs or upgrades. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to perform repairs with precision and safety. Requirements Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or automotive technician in a dealership or industrial environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex vehicle systems. Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools. Skilled in welding, fabrication, tire service, alignment procedures, and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is preferred. Valid certification or licensing related to heavy truck repair or diesel mechanics is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients.
