Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator

Overview Railroad Construction / Dump Truck & Backhoe Operator – Charleston, SC Area Job Overview Work primarily between Columbia and Charleston, SC Perform railroad construction and maintenance work for Norfolk Southern projects Operate a dump truck while pulling a backhoe Operate backhoe and other construction equipment as needed Haul dirt, rock, ballast, materials and equipment Perform track-related labor and general railroad construction work Work around active railroad tracks and follow all required safety procedures Travel throughout the Columbia–Charleston corridor as projects require Some overnight work and extended stays in the Charleston area may be required Must be dependable, safety-minded and willing to work outdoors and around heavy equipment What I’d put for qualifications Requirements: Valid driver’s license Experience operating dump trucks and/or heavy equipment Experience with a backhoe preferred Railroad or construction experience preferred Able to work around active railroad operations Able to work nights, weekends or extended hours when required Reliable transportation to the job Must be willing to travel between Columbia and Charleston Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
